Haas RT was formed late in 2022 by Sandrine Haas and Kris Dedoncker after meeting at the 2022 24 Hours of Zolder. Former F1 photographer Sandrine took part in a team managed by Kris, an experienced engineer, manager and rally driver himself.
The initial question came from Sandrine to drive the 25h VW Funcup, followed by a conversation which derailed over time, ending with the mutual agreement to build a team together. During this, the decision was made to go all out and launch a GT3 campaign.
After a testing, but ultimately impressive debut in Dubai, which included leading the race after starting in 43rd position, the team went on to finish on the podium in just its second-ever race. Following this they went one better and managed to win the next race and round it off by winning the overall 24h series European GT3 championship on the first try, still less than a year after initially being founded.
Haas RT continues to run ever-expanding GT3 programmes to compete for top honours in multiple championship.
